about Diana Dunbar

Diana Dunbar grew up in the Miami ballet scene studying with Magda Aunon and later with Martha Mahr as a member of the Miami Ballet. She expanded her dance repertoire as a founding member of Miami’s first modern dance company, Fusion Dance Company. Diana’s passion for dance brought her to New York where she studied at the Martha Graham Studio and with various Russian instructors in the Vaganova Ballet Method. Diana moved to Madrid, Spain where she studied ballet and Flamenco. She performed with Boston Flamenco Ballet, which toured across the United States. These experiences, plus her studies in the Creative Writing program at Florida International University, have lead Diana to share her passion of dance through writing. Dunbar has been a regular contributor to ArtBurst, focusing on dance.
