about Taima Hervas

D. Taima Hervas is a national Emmy award winning documentary Producer/Writer, a creative advisor and youth educator with a long history of non-profit work in the arts, environment and education. Taima has produced independently for The Discovery Channel, PBS, National Geographic, Turner Productions, and James Lipscomb Inc. As a journalist, Taima covers cultural arts stories about Miami’s performing arts and film, youth empowerment programs and stories focused on equity and climate justice. Based in Miami, Taima is currently in production on a two-year project focusing on a local non-profit helping young people find pathways to success through the arts. She is also a creative advisor to young filmmakers working for climate crisis justice and advocacy. Taima has a 25-year history working in the non-profit realm, she is the Co-Founder and Director of A Zero Waste Culture 501(c)3, was the Co-Founder and Program Director for BritWeek Miami, Orlando and Atlanta and for A Great British Weekend Miami working in conjunction with the British Government, sponsors and non-profits to promote local cultural and business ties with Great Britain.
