For 35 years, MOMIX has created a unique art form that defies definition. The company describes itself as dancer-illusionist. MOMIX returned to South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center on March 18 and 19, 2017.

Copresented by SMDCAC and CULTURE SHOCK MIAMI, MOMIX performed a revitalized and reimagined program called “Opus Cactus,” depicting life on the desert.

Attending the performance were CULTURE SHOCKERS, 13 to 22 years-old students who love the arts. Some of them shared their thoughts about what they saw and heard. . .

The cozy Saint Bede Chapel on the University of Miami campus provided the acoustic and spiritual ambience for pianist Yvonne Troxler’s intimate, but powerful piano concert. Swiss-born and Brooklyn-based, Troxler curated and performed a distinctive program of bold contemporary work at the invitation of the Foundation for Emerging Technologies and Arts (FETA).
