Loved Brazz Dance’s world premiere of Cordel? Haven’t seen it yet? Stop in for an informal chat at the South Miami-Dade Cultural Center after the final performance on Sunday, November 20 — the first of the NOMAD Dance Dialogues. Presented by Helena Thevenot (Miami Dade College, North Campus) and Celeste Fraser Delgado (Barry University/Artburst), Nomad Dance Dialogues are designed to explore new perspectives on dance in South Florida by pairing theoretical readings on performance with new work. These are not critiques — we will not be saying what we liked or didn’t like about a performance. Rather these will be attempts to situate the performance in a wider context and expand the ways in which we experience dance. If you can’t make the dialogue, check out the readings and leave a comment on your thoughts. Readings:
