Hanan, one of Miami’s most respected belly dance performers and teachers, is leaving Miami. Before she goes, she will be offering one last workshop, a peek into the secrets of her uniquely earthy style. The title of the workshop makes its depth clear: Earth and Sky – Connecting, Channeling and Communicating Power, Emotion and Personal Style. She will be taking students well beyond technique into the subtle body, via the chakra system. Most people learn about the chakra system through yoga, but belly dance – actually many traditional dance forms – was also developed to open up energy blockages. Her intention is to bring dancers into connection with their core selves as a way to develop their own artistic voices. The workshop will be limited to a small group, so make sure to reserve a space. Earth and Sky Workshop Belly 2 Abs Saturday, May 14 1-4 p.m. Email info@belly2abs.com / subject line: Hanan’s Workshop
