Available Grants for Artists

 As a service, we provide a monthly listing of available grants to artists in the Miami-Dade County area and additional links for grant opportunities in other counties and across Florida.

 Fantasy Theatre Factory/Sandrell Rivers Theater

Fantasy Theatre Factory (FTF) has been awarded a $100,000 Pérez CreARTE 2025 grant from The Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation at The Miami Foundation to launch the Cultural Arts Partnership Residency (CAP@SRT Residency) at the Sandrell Rivers Theater. The two-year grant will fund residencies at Sandrell Rivers Theater in Liberty City, and is open to emerging and under-sourced performing arts groups in Miami-Dade County. It provides the groups with  free office, rehearsal and performance space at the theater as well as hands-on production, marketing and publicity support. Additionally, groups will receive one on one mentoring sessions with Fantasy Theater Factory leadership through their Business of the Arts Session, helping them build capacity and visibility.

South Arts

 Southern Prize & State Fellowship for Visual Arts and Literary Arts

Nine state fellows in each the Visual Arts and Literary Arts categories will receive $5,000  with one finalist awarded $10,000 and one Southern Prize winner receiving $25,000. The Literary Arts award focus will be on screenwriting and playwriting.

Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs

 Community Grants Program

The Community Grants (CG) Program is awarded on a quarterly basis to nonprofit organizations developing small and large-scale community-based cultural (dance, theater, music, visual arts) programs, as well as projects and events, such as fairs, parades, neighborhood festivals and publications that have a strong artistic component.

The CG panel considers projects with strong community involvement and/or outreach components. The CG Program is particularly sensitive to the needs of indigenous cultural neighborhood activities and projects encouraging the preservation of heritage, traditions and culture, as well as social service organizations and cultural groups developing

Tourist Development Grants Program
This quarterly program considers grants to organizations/events which promote Miami-Dade County’s appeal as a tourist destination by sponsoring tourist-oriented sports events, cultural and special events (visual and performing arts, including theater, concerts, recitals, opera, dance, art exhibitions, and festivals) and television origination projects. The TDC’s objective in funding events is to attract tourists from outside of Miami-Dade County into the area; encourage overnight stays in Miami-Dade County motels and hotels; and perpetuate an environment for growth in the tourism industry in Miami-Dade County.
