Artists Looking for Grants? Here Is Where To Apply

In an effort to continually support artists and their work, here is information about open calls with deadlines for artists and resource links to check for available opportunities throughout the year.

Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs
Community Grants Program

The Community Grants (CG) Program is responsive on a quarterly basis to nonprofit organizations developing small and large-scale community-based cultural (dance, theater, music, visual arts) programs, as well as projects and events, such as fairs, parades, neighborhood festivals and publications that have a strong artistic component.

Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM)
Open Call for Digital Art

The museum’s first-of-its-kind program offers financial support to produce experimental digital artwork across South Florida, Latin America, the Caribbean, and the African Diaspora. Selected artists may be awarded between $1,000–$15,000 during an estimated 12-month period, expanding and advancing the museum’s presentation, study, and interpretation of international contemporary digital art.

Knight Art + Tech Expansion Fund
Knight Foundation

This grant seeks to support artists and arts organizations in Knight communities by equipping them with the tools they need to expand the use of technology in their work and engage audiences in innovative ways. Applicants must demonstrate how their work will utilize technology to increase the impact and reach of their work.

Interiors and Bridge: Integrated Command and Communications Center at Lightspeed Facility
Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs
Art in Public Places

Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs through its Art in Public Places Program and Miami-Dade County People & Internal Operations Department request qualifications for artists for a number of public art commissions for the interiors and pedestrian bridge at the new Miami-Dade County Integrated Command and Communications Center at Lightspeed facility. The campus of buildings will serve as a hub for emergency response and disaster management. Open to professional visual artists based in South Florida.

Deering Estate

The Deering Estate Artist-in-Residence Program (AIR) supports artists across visual, literary, performing, and cross-disciplinary arts. The program offers opportunities for emerging and mid-career artists willing to explore new bodies of work or practices to create, collaborate, and engage with the Estate’s historic, cultural, and natural environment.

FilmGate Opportunities

Free for All Festival July 2025

FilmGate Fellowship 2025
Florida’s leading artist development program for creators in film, television, interactive, and hybrid media. Fellows receive mentorship from industry professionals, hands-on training and intensive bootcamps, access to FilmGate membership and production insurance during the required shooting period, culminating in a live pitch event to executive producers, financiers and distributors. Two winners will receive film grants to support their productions.
